Focus on Public Works

This booklet in the Impumelelo series on best practice models focuses on public works projects that have a core function -  in this instance to maintain roads - but incorporate other elements such as job creation and training. After a general introduction to government's attempts at job creation since 1994, the booklet supplies some historic background to poverty and unemployment over the last 50 years.
