HIV/AIDS Vol. I

During Impumelelo's earlier award cycles, exemplary HIV-interventions were few and far between. This was because during this period, wide-spread responses to the disease was not prolific. Since then, a burgeoning of effective HIV-focused interventions remain,  well represented in our award cycles. Between 1999 and 2003, 63 of the 905 submissions to the Impumelelo Innovations Awards were HIV/AIDS related. Of the 63 projects submitted, 14 received awards, which are all featured in this study. 

A second HIV/AIDS case study volume was also published in 2008, which explores 19 successful initiatives.
