Innovations in Governance & Public Action Liaison Group

In the mid 80s, the Ford Foundation began its support of different initiatives around the world, dedicated to identifying and disseminating experiences in a variety of public activities that are making a significant contribution broadening citizenship, improving service delivery and governance. The innovations approach is uses awards programmes to unearth these practices. There are currently ten such programmes in Brazil, Chile, China, Indian Nations of the USA, Mexico, Kenya, Peru, the Philippines, South Africa and USA. These programmes make up the Innovation in Governance & Public Action Liaison Group.
